Shaare Zedek University features community members who are experts in their respective fields. As debate continues throughout the country about the use of force by police officers and the role of the grand jury in these cases, Steve Goldstein will lead a conversation on this important topic.
Mr. Goldstein is an Assistant District Attorney in New York City. He began his legal career as a judicial clerk in Jerusalem, and during his 30-year career working as a prosecutor he has investigated and prosecuted crimes ranging from murder and gang violence to international narcotics trafficking and money laundering. Mr. Goldstein is also an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School and has taught and lectured extensively at various universities and legal training forums. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University and graduated from New York University Law School. Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Goldstein worked as a social worker with children in New York City’s foster care system.
