Pick up a copy of A Backpack, A Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka: A Memoir by Lev Golinkin and join us at our next book club meeting. We will meet during kiddush lunch following our morning services, at approximately 12:30 PM.
Golinkin’s “hilarious and heartbreaking” memoir tells the tale of a young boy and his family fleeing the Soviet Union and of Golinkin as an adult retracing his family’s roots. To read the entire NY Times Book review, click here.
Children are invited to join us at the same time for our annual Chocolate Seder.
Mark our next book club meeting on your calendar! On June 18, we will discuss All Who Go Do Not Return: A Memoir by Shulem Deen.
