Presented by the JCC of Manhattan in partnership with 19 UWS synagogues
For the 17th consecutive year, the Upper West Side community will gather to read the names of those among the 6 million murdered Jews. The reading will begin on Wednesday, May 4, at 10:00 p.m. at Congregation Rodeph Shalom and continue throughout the night with representatives of Upper West Side congregations and other members of the community. It will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, at the JCC of Manhattan, ending with the recitation of the kaddish at 7:00 p.m. Come read or witness by your presence.
Rabbi Jonah Geffen will begin the night's reading with other UWS rabbis beginning at 10:00 pm. Shaare Zedek's dedicated time slot for reading is between 4:40 and 5:00 a.m. Please contact office@sznyc.org if you would like to represent Shaare Zedek by reading during that time.
