SCHEDULE CHANGE: Friday night dinner is canceled, please join us for this discussion on Shabbat afternoon. Following kiddush, we welcome our special guest speaker Hagit Molgan Hammel, a 2018 Co.Lab Fellow with UJA-Federation of New York and representative of the Masorti Movement in Israel. Hagit's work is focused on building vibrant and pluralistic Jewish communities. She will discuss the broad landscape of Israeli Judaism, as well as her work with Masorti and its unique role vis-a-vis the Orthodox chief rabbinate.
Hagit Molgan Hammel is the Community Development Director of the Masorti Movement, overseeing communities all over Israel. She focuses on developing these communities into centers where everyone can experience and celebrate their Judaism. Prior to this position, Hagit led a process of building a shared youth community center for youth from kibbutzim and surrounding villages. Hagit has a BA in education, and a MA in Organization Development and Consulting.
This event is made possible through UJA-Federation of New York's 2018 CommUnity Shabbat, connecting members of the Jewish community to one another and to UJA through shared, meaningful Shabbat experiences.
Guests, we welcome your donation toward the meal.
